Biography:

Miss Wheeler was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a proud Nisei (second generation immigrant from Japan). She speaks both Japanese and English and is learning Spanish. In her free time she enjoys reading, painting and drawing, writing stories, and singing.  She graduated from Hamilton High School in Chandler, and got her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Arizona State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and she is an Arizona Highly Qualified Teacher.  Some of the things she wants to do in her life are visit England, publish a widely successful young adult novel that will rival Harry Potter, travel the length of the Great Wall of China, and learn how to work with computer animation. She is the second oldest of eleven children, most of them being boys. She has a pet house rabbit by the name of Blackjack and three Zebra Finches. Ms. Wheeler has wanted to be an elementary school teacher since she was in the third grade and absolutely loves it!
